The Promised Land

Thousands of immigrants every year try to cross the Greek borders on their way to Europe. Many lose their lives in the crossing. Those who manage to get to Greece are transferred to detention centers where they are held up to 18 months under inhuman conditions and without the ability to seek asylum. Therefore, unable to continue their journey to their destination country in Europe or return to their motherland they remain trapped in Greece.
