Former Spaces, 2004 - 2012, selection The photo-cycle Former spaces was creating since 2004 until 2012. These are records images of a disappearing city monuments, city icons or places that were important for inhabitants.. I documents them as abandoned, lonesome and neglected, as areas reminiscent of their faded glory. I am looking for the places that in humans can induce a feeling of nostalgia and melancholy. Each one photographed space has its own story, their own cultural - political context under which the viewer can make their own interpretation. I searching for the places with its own identity. I am interesting in its transformation, but also in the death of that space. This is a my personal story about one Central European city, Bratislava and its disappearing city icons due to the time and city changes.
