This is a story about light and darkness. About identity and doubt. About being brave enough to dive into the unknown.
This is the story about Croquis Grotesque.
In the late 80’s my studio was once again turned into a buzzing creative living stage. A meeting place, a warm and secure zone for evolving ideas and identity. Croquis Grotesque was unfolding!
We turned into a rather large group of people with a remarkable playful and curious approach to staged photography methods.
The working process was ongoing and never predictable.
Finding people, my models, my actors, evolve and incorporate fantasies and ideas into an improvised shooting or a detailed story board.
Taboos, love, restriction, religion, identity, hope, dreams and sexuality – nothing to big or to small to question.
