Provenance Unknown-Detritus

Provenance Unknown-Detritu is an ongoing series of works that begins to question issues of value, providence, authorship . With this portrait series I am interested in the many forms and variations a still life can take. I collect what material remains when an artist give up there studio space. What is preserved as a final work of art and what i part of the working process. Some of this sereis is avalible in editions of five. These editions are varied and were made from different frames in my process. is an ongoing series of works that begins to question issues of value, providence and authorship . Provenance Unknown is an ongoing series of works or several related bodies of work that begins to question issues of value, providence and authorship with in the artistic practice. With Detritus I am interested in the many forms, histories and variations a still life can take. I collect what material remains in the studio when an artist vacates their studio space. I am interested in the final work the artists preserved and promotes - but especially their working process there use of materials but mostly the detritus that is left behind. I rework and recycle these materials into still lives for my camera. This is a varied series of five different frames in my process reflecting on the artistic hand and the eye in making aesthetic decisions.
