Youth and Tradition : a way to resist to globalization

During carnaval in Puna (highplanes of Argentina) , young people wear ancestral costumes when majority of young population prefer to move down to citie and abandon tradition. These few portraits show how these young habitants of Puna are proud to maintain cultural memory and demonstrate that both worlds may cohabite. I was captivated by their deep look and their pride and deep conviction in front of the camera. Photos were shooted with a film camera.
