So strong, so vulnerable
So strong, so vulnerable is about our relation to trees.
Benefits of trees are well known: they reduce temperature and noise, provide oxygen and a habitat for many animals, produce wood, increase the humidity of the soil, and prevent its erosion.
They are also strong, and are able to survive the inclemencies of the weather.
Unfortunately, they can´t defend themselves from human predation. For instance, great green areas of the world have disappeared in the last century.
My purpose was to show the contrast between strength and vulnerability, by taking pictures of trees facing different atmospheric conditions but also, reminding the relevance of them to humanity.
