All photos submitted here were taken during the past months when I actively dove into projects that would allow me to explore the dark side of men and women. I then became interested in analyzing depression, loneliness, and paranoia through portraits of the ones close to me and myself. I believe I also stained my subjects with the emptiness I have felt during the past year due to losses I endured. The images I would often encounter after work would be of obscured faces - either cut, hidden or drenched into darkness. The chosen stills come from different moments within a time when creation needed to be forced due to the lack of inspiration, but ultimately turned into my salvation. In the search to represent the unlit corners of the human mind, and express my own darkness, I was able to appreciate the act of creating again.
