Rafael Salim, born in 1987, is a Rio de Janeiro-based photographer with a cinematic flair. After earning his bachelor’s degree in Cinema, he has continued to evolve as an artist, currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Visual Languages at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. His research delves into the intriguing interplay between photographic imagery and memory, the wielded power within these frames, and the envisioning of contemporary strategies for perception that elegantly sidestep the historical confines of photography.
