Raphaël Yoshitomi
…was born in Zurich 1967, younger son of a japanese businessman and a swiss painter. His parents, dwelt by their passion of painting, handed him down the taste of art and made him grow up in an environment where visual expression belongs to everyday life. Photography allowed him to narrate in a very personal way and show others his own view of the world’s universalism. He started out as an autodidact and shortly after felt the urge to devote himself to this media. In 1996 he moved to Paris to start his career. After assisting notable fashion photographers, he starts to work on his own account in 2001. Since 2008, he extends his activity an works with art galeries, and regularly participates in solo- and group exhibitions.
