Rene Burton is a photographer and experimental filmmaker who concentrates on deconstructing ecological issues. Based in Auckland, New Zealand, his present artistic research examines the notion of palimpsest and its relationship to photomedia and filmic documentary. His current context is the disruption of ecological environments, specifically damage done to coastal environments. Burton has completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Art and Design at AUT University and is working towards his Masters of Art and Design.
