Rita Stankevič iū tė -Kazakevič ienė was born in Marijampolė in 1984, and spent the sunny summer days of her childhood in the village of Netič kampis. Photography is her life, the air she breathes, and the way of her self-realization. In 2003, she graduated from Petras Arminas Secondary School in Marijampolė and entered Vilnius College of Construction and Design, where she studied photo technology and photo journalism. A er graduating from the College (in 2006), she has worked as a photographer for various dailies and magazines.
She has been a member of the Lithuanian Union of Journalists and of the Lithuanian Press Photographers’ Club since 2007. In the course of her professional career until 2016, she participated in a whole range of con- tests, seminars, and conferences.
In 2009, she had her first personal exhibition “V.Y.R.A.Y.”; and in 2011, a personal exhibition “ESU TOKS, KOKS ESU” (I AM WHAT I AM). Her photo works were included in the art publication “Save Zine Vol. 4” published in London in 2014.
She was the winner of the Lithuanian Press Photography Contest in the Portrait category (in 2015). In 2016, she began to study for a Masters course at Vilnius Academy of Arts.
