Robert Santore was born in Houston, Texas. A fifth-generation Texan, he resides on the ranch that has been in his family since 1818. Early in his childhood, Robert moved with his family to the United Kingdom and then later settled in Huntington Beach, Newport Beach and Laguna Beach California. He was a member of the United States JR National Alpine Ski Team and later attended Orange Coast College, Parsons School Of Design in New York, The Otis Art Institute of Parsons School of Design, In Los Angeles and the University of California at Irvine studying fine art, design and technology.
Santore has traveled extensively through Europe and the South Pacific, his current work focusing on the juxtaposition of experience, events and memories from his travels. His first solo painting exhibition took place at the Jerry Solomon Gallery, in Los Angeles California in November of 1986.
