I've spent forty-one years, off and on, in the wilds exploring the cultural past, alive in the present usually with endangered peoples their natural habitats. I've accompanied war-refugees and people-in-resistance. I've documented village food and textile traditions as well as relief efforts.
I've also spent some thirty years in a day-job on the mean streets of Columbus, Ohio as a parole officer for juvenile felons. Both with lots of face-to-face with interesting people in their natural habitats.
