About Rosalba Breazeale

Rosalba Breazeale (They/Them) was born in 1989 in Lima Peru. They were adopted and raised Knoxville, Tennessee and Portland, Maine. In May 2017, they received their BFA with an emphasis in Photography from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Breazeale received their Master of Fine Art in Photography from the University of New Mexico in 2022. They have shown in various group exhibitions across the U.S. including Natural Instincts in Hartford, Connecticut curated by Goldie Gross of the Jewish Salon and received honorable mention at Strata Gallery’s 2nd annual juried show, Against the Grain in Santa Fe, NM. Most recently, they exhibited their solo show, Poems From Kay Pacha, at Strata Gallery in Santa Fe, NM as a member of the 2022-23 emerging artist cohort and Sciart collaboration with scientist, Jessica Begay, at Explora Science Center and Children's Museum in Albuquerque, NM. They currently reside in Portland, ME where they look forward to the Fall 2023 David C. Driskell fellowship at Black Seed Studio and a solo exhibition at the Parsonage Gallery in Searsport, ME.
