Ruth Stenstrom, MA, ATR-BC is a Washington, DC art therapist and multi-media artist working with figurative/abstract painting, photography, video, electronic music, computer graphics, writing and poetry. Director of the CASSA Arts Workshop since 1989, she taught art in the DC Pubic Schools for 26 years. She was also co-founder/coordinator of the non profit Local 1734 Art Collective and Gallery and its sister organization P Street Paperworks, a silkscreen center. She collaborated with performance artist Norm Davis for 12 years on a series of international performances and exhibits including Rimbaud, the Terra Nova Project, Café Noir, Light/Licht and Chaos. Her photo series Urban Choreography notices the interactions of people with art and architecture.
