Sam Rittenberg lives and works in New York City and the Dominican Republic. His primary interest is in the ability of a photograph to express the infinite and paradoxical interplay of destruction and creation. He is guided by the idea that every picture has the potential to be a portal to that which is ordinarily beyond us. Seventeen of Mr. Rittenberg’s works have been recognized in international competitions, including the Budapest International Foto Awards, Chromatic Awards, Neutral Density Awards, International Photo Awards, and Refocus Awards - World Photo Annual.
