My name is Shira Stoll and I am a photographer from Long Island, but currently based in Syracuse, N.Y. My major at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University was Photo Illustration, a concentration in studio and commercial photography, and my portfolio consisted of mainly studio portraiture. In the fall semester of my senior year, I studied in London where I took all photojournalism courses, and discovered that I really want to tell stories, capture real moments, and move towards documentary photography. I am currently continuing my studies at the Newhouse School to get my Master’s in Photography with a concentration in Photojournalism and Multimedia.
