Stavros Messinis is a multi-award-winning visual artist hailing from Greece and is now based in Melbourne, Australia. He earned his Master of Arts in Photography from the highly-regarded Photography Studies College in 2022.
His work has been displayed in solo and group exhibitions. He has published several well-received photobooks, including Dream State, The Scream, Rebirth, Sovereign Sun, and Iland.
He has received recognition for his work, including the "Best Photobook Design" award for Dream State at the 2018 CCP Salon of the Centre for Contemporary Photography in Australia. The Dream State photobook was also a finalist in the 2018 Australia and New Zealand Photobook Awards and has been displayed at photography festivals worldwide. "Iland" was awarded Second Prize in the 2022 Australian Photobook Award Pre-press Digital Student category.
