I am an older photographer. I first picked up a camera in my 30's. After graduating from the New England School of Photography two year Professional Photography program in 1995 I worked freelance at various types of photography, and worked in photo labs. I taught adult ed photo courses for years, bridging the transition from film to digital. I mount a brick and mortar show once every five years or so. I've been juried into a good number of shows, even if nothing major. I have a quirky aesthetic that does not appeal to the average viewer who wants an easy art experience. I don't want to produce an image I have seen before. I want to give a viewer an opportunity to NOT take their visual environment for granted. For the viewer willing to come halfway there may be something interesting.
