About teresa de Carvalho

Teresa de Carvalho was born in Lisbon in 1958, and work today as photographer freelance.
Her path started in Paris in 1981, and after that, as collaborated with Marie Claire, Grande Reportagem, Expresso and Nissan.
After a passage in Exame magazine, integrates Volta ao Mundo Magazine as photographer in 1994.
In Volta ao Mundo editions develops the editorial project of Evasões Magazine,
and is being responsible of Unibanco publications.
Has participate in different collective exhibitions: “10 years of Microcrédito in Portugal”, “Elevadores de Lisboa”,
“Olhares Brilhantes” for the release of Peugeot 2006, "Nissan Terrano II expedition in Latin America",
and “Máscaras” at the Cultural Center at Salvador da Baía, Brasil.
Wins the first prize for professionals from Fuji in reporting category 2002,
and in 2015 an hounorable mention at IPA, International photography awards, with a work in Mozambique "Children of the Quirimbas"
