In my early teenager years I traveled a lot and found myself more and more confronted with the urge to pause certain moments in time to observe and experience it's structures, layers and fragments more closely.
Photography became for me a shared silent storytelling experience. The picture starts to pull the viewer into a strong visual experience, triggers his imagination, touches his fantasy and eventually leaves him to take over the moment of storytelling himself.
I was lucky to find an Olympus CR35 in an abandoned dusty camera store somewhere along the road to the Mexican border. I fell in love on first sight and started experimenting with analoge photography.
I selected the series 'Studies In Space' for the lensculture New Talent Award. It is my first series in analoge photography so far. Entirely shot with the Olympus CR35 in the year 2016.
