I am primarily a novelist ("The Persistence of Memory") with a fascination for observation and nature. I take a lot of nature photographs, and increasingly I've fallen in love with realistic photos that wind up looking abstract and "painterly." My photographs have appeared in Discover, the Christian Science Monitor, Gourmet.com, and Heifer International's World Ark Magazine, among other places.
