TW Jonas (Tiago Jonas de Almeida) is a chemist and a PhD in molecular biology. He started photographing under the influence of his friend Elias Santos, an artist from Bahia, Brazil, whose nude pictures inspired him because of its colors, vigor, and strangeness. Self-learned photographer, he has been taking pictures for at least 15 years. He has taken part in exhibitions in places like ICBA-Instituto Cultural Brasil-Alemanha (in Salvador, Bahia), in the events Santa Teresa de Portas Abertas and MOLA - Mostra Livre de Artes (in Rio de Janeiro) and in the event Voodoohop (in São Paulo). He published in 2005 some pictures in RelevO, a poetry journal published in Curitiba, Brazil. He received a third place award in the 7th EUROCLICK – a Photograph award promoted by the European centre (Curitiba, Brazil).
