Tyler Gathro is a photo-based artist whose work reflects his religious upbringing and interest in theology. He is a graduate of The Cooper Union School of Art and Yale Divinity School where he studied photography, printmaking, documentary filmmaking, religion, and sacred and religious art. He has exhibited across the country, including in New York, Florida, and Utah, and is a 2018 recipient of the Ella Lyman Cabot Trust Grant. He enjoys working in his studio, filmmaking, writing, and spending time with his wife and two boys. He grew up in Jacksonville, Florida and currently resides outside of Salt Lake City, Utah.
