Ylenia, was born on 7th October 1992, in San Vittore, a small town in the Canton Grigioni, Switzerland. She completed her compulsory education in San Vittore and Roveredo, than she continued her studies at the Artistic Industries School in Lugano, where she got her diploma in textile technology design.
In 2012 Ylenia began her studies at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland, and in 2015, after getting her bachelor, she graduated in Visual Communication Design. Her passion for photography has developed during adolescence and studies.
In 2013 she discovered the passion for prophotography of abandoned buildings. Thanks to these places, founded in Europe, Ylenia was able to take shots with a strong visual and emotional impact.
This passion led her want to tell the stories and memories of these silent places, otherwise forgotten, through shots ‘out of time’ and through an visual approach.
