I'm a Dutch/American photographer and based in The Netherlands. Around 2010 I first took up photography. I studied photography at the Photo Academy in Rotterdam and since 2013 I'm contracted at ZUMA Press.
Without any knowledge of other photographers work I started at the Photo Academy in Rotterdam (The Netherlands).
My first project during the preliminary program was architectural photography and I ended up studying a lot of work by Ezra Stoller. I love how in some of his work he positions people in a very deliberate way. For me, that makes the image much more interesting. The loneliness the pictures express is splendid. In hindsight, this was a first step towards my present street photography and documentary work.
