About Alessandro Lucia

I am Alessandro Lucia, engineer and business consultant on health and safety at work.
I discovered the world of photography during my university years. My roommate had a reflex camera and I started from there. I followed a non-academic path: I studied self-taught experimenting and buiding a darkroom in which I took refuge when I needed to escape from the schematic world of my studies. Photography was my way to overcome shyness, my way to tell something that I struggled to express with words.
I know that the lack of a professorship makes my knowledge incomplete, especially on the history and evolution of photography, but I continue to study and attend workshops, sharing insights with photographers in search of my authorship.
Today I photograph as an act of research, to study, deepen and better understand the object of my interest which I transform into the fulcrum of my photographic lens.
