Alexandra Nielsen is originally from Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania. She grew up heavily influenced and inspired by the artwork of the Wyeth family. Since attending school for photography in New Zealand, she has been working as a freelance photographer. Alexandra currently lives in Melbourne, Australia.
Her most recent work, "The Backpacker," explores the unique way of life of a backpacker picking exotic fruit and living in Far North Queensland, Australia. This work was shortlisted as a finalist for the Australian Photography Awards. Alexandra is also a contributor to the Guardian Australia.
