The in Hamburg based photographer, Alfred Brandl, studied in Hamburg, London and Milan. During his childhood, the same question kept popping up. Who is interested in my story? How do I communicate it to others? So when he was a child he started to come up with stories I wanted to tell. After completing school, he started training in a bank. Even during this time, the thought of storytelling accompanied him. He still hadn‘t found the instruments to tell communicate them. When his uncle gave him a camera in 1991, everything suddenly changed. Now he knew that he had found his medium. Telling stories is what Alfred Brandl brought to photography. What is there to see? What do you discover if you look twice? And a third time? He continues searching for stories yet to be told.
