Ali Mobasser

I was born in Maryland, USA in 1976 to Iranian parents. A year later my family moved back to Iran but in 1979 The Islamic Revolution forced us to leave. After stints in Saudi Arabia, Costa Rica and both coasts of America, I settled in London at the age of eight to be raised by my father and his younger sister. Today, I am based in north London with my wife and young son. My art draws on personal experiences and explores themes of identity and displacement.
