I'm Amy, and I'm intrigued by the quiet magnificence, fragility and ultimately the impermanence and fleeting nature of everyday life. Even more-so since giving birth to my first child, Ilias.
Using an honest, intimate approach to portraiture, I create imagery that aims to be both deeply personal and visually arresting - work that explores the intensity and beauty of early parenthood, motherhood and family life unflinching and intuitively.
I currently work on a mix of digital, medium format and 35mm film. After graduating from the RMIT BA Photography program in 2013, I am now living back in the Sunshine Coast, QLD, where I spent most of my early formative years - with my partner, four year old son, and a second child on the way. Over time, I intend to continue to explore the journey of pregnancy, matrescence & early motherhood as I move primarily toward a film-based practice.
