Andrew Williams (b. 1988) is a photographer currently based in NYC and on the road. His photography of contemporary America is an interpretation of how the U.S. culture interacts with the natural environment. His work strives to transform the ways in which we view our relation to Nature. Andrew was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He holds a BFA from Parsons The New School for Design as well as the 2012-2013 Vera List Writing Award.
Andrew longs for the road. Travel and, more specifically, modes of travel are important to his work. Andrew tends to travel by Greyhound bus because it takes time. Time to take in the changing landscape. Time to interact with the other passengers. Time to stop at stations and rest stops. Time to really look.
