Andy Wiener is a British photographer. He studied photography at the Royal College of Art, in London in the mid-1980s. His work is in the staged photography genre, but he also works in other areas of photography.
His work is in the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, and the Scottish National Portrait Gallery. His work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in the UK and has been exhibited in group exhibitions internationally.
A monograph of his work, entitled Cautionary Tales was published in 1990 by Dewi Lewis, and a monograph entitled Visitation Scenes was published in 2020, again by Dewi Lewis. His work has been published in journals in the UK and internationally.
Alongside his photographic practice, he works as a psychiatrist at the renowned Tavistock Centre in North London.
