By The Way is a series of photos taken throughout Australia capturing many different environments from the side of the road. Although often trivial, these are the places between places, hidden down back roads or on the sides of busy high ways and overlooked by the travelers passing through them. The images are void of a human presence but show traces of life, providing an insight into a segment of the Australian identity and our relationship with the landscape.
