Artur Conka is a young photographer, whose work has most recently focused on the plight of Gypsy, Roma and Travellers in Europe. Himself a Roma, Artur came to Britain in 1998 as an eight-year-old migrant originally from Slovakia. He feels that it is important to give the Roma a voice, for so long a community disregarded by those in power.
