Asiko is a self taught photographer and artist who work focuses on issues of identity and culture.
His work straddles between fantasy and reality and is a reaction to the two cultures he has experienced through adolescence to adulthood. These two cultures being African roots and his European upbringing have informed the confluence of African aesthetics with dreamy ethereal metaphors.
His work has published in various publications and outlets like The Guardian, The BBC, iAM magazine, Vogue, Elle, ThisDay Style etc. His work has been exhibited at The Gallery of African Art in London, Rele Gallery in Lagos, Truman’s Brewery in London.
