Barbara Frye is an abstract impressionist photographer who loosens our grip on reality and asks us to look beyond what is expected. Through the lens of abstraction, Barbara shows us how the ordinary becomes extraordinary. Her skillful and imaginative use of composition, texture, form, and light bend the obvious world into a unique visual experience. Using photography as a means of provocation, Barbara’s work urges the viewer to stop and consider what is being seen.
Barbara Frye holds a Master of Fine Art degree in photography and is based near Zurich, Switzerland. Her work has been exhibited in the U.S. and Europe, and is held in private collections.
