Basil Kincaid, b. 1986 is a St. Louis based Post-Disciplinary artist. Kincaid works fluidly in many forms exploring and unifying 2D, 3D, Performative, Social Practice and Public Work. In 2010 Kincaid received a BA from Colorado College. Additionally, Kincaid has attended The Fountainhead Residency in Miami FL and was the inaugural winner of the Arts Connect International Artist in Residence, a fully funded year long residency in which Kincaid spent nine months in Ghana. Kincaid has exhibited work in NY, LA, Boston, Miami, St. Louis and Accra. In addition to co-founding a free art camp for youth on the south-side of St. Louis, Kincaid is also a national public speaker and local mentor for young artists of color.
