Bill O’Donnell earned a BA from the Union Institute and an MFA from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago. He holds the rank of Full Professor at Illinois State University.
Awards include an NEA Regional Fellowship, and two Illinois Arts Council Artist Fellowships. His work is included in The Chicago Project at Catherine Edelman Gallery, Seattle Portable Works Collection, the Illinois State Museum, the Belgravia Group Collection and the NEA Visual Artists Fellowship Archive. Solo exhibitions: SOHO PHOTO GALLERY in New York, the CHICAGO CULTURAL CENTER, MWMWM GALLERY Chicago, GALLERY 13 in Minneapolis, The TORONTO PHOTOGRAPHERS WORKSHOP, the Chicago WATER TOWER GALLERY and the UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO Gleacher Center and his work is included in the Midwest Photographers Project at the Museum of Contemporary Photography.
