Publisher's Description
Although photographer Harry Weber once said his biggest mistake was returning to Vienna, his final book reveals a deep affection for his native city. Prior to his death in 2007, Weber shot more than 30,000 photos that weave a personal portrait of his hometown, and nearly 500 full-color photographs appear in this voluminous Vienna Project, capturing the essence of the city where Weber derived enormous creativity and inspiration. The collection also contains Weber's autobiographical notes, a 65 page manuscript that focuses predominantly on his Jewish upbringing in Vienna during the second World War and the trauma he suffered through Nazi terror.
