One could almost be excused for thinking that Schwager’s photographs of green hills, pathways through the forest and excavation works, depict a peaceful rural environment, however the occasional texts point to another grimmer and tragic recent past. The photographs presented document a landscape of both the past and present dotted with mass graves and minefields.
