Having won the Fuji Film Award in 1988 for work in Africa, Badessi has been quietly pursuing his own project of placing nudes in dramatic landscapes around the globe. Contrasting often harsh environments with the sensuousness of skin, his works are elegantly minimalist. The lushness of these images is matched by superior printing.
