Emmuree - Yuriko Yamayoshi: Photographs by Masaaki Toyoura

Masaaki Toyoura has created a documentary about the fantasy life of Yuriko Yamayoshi's dolls. They wait outside darkened buildings, spotlit, anxiously watching for someone to appear. They ponderously wander through fields at night. Exhausted they collapse to corner of their shower stall, hair falling over their eyes like despair.
