Weegee (Photofile)

Arthur Fellig, alias Weegee (1899-1968), was born in Austria. At the age of ten, he moved to New York, where he was to become the greatest crime photographer of all time. The only civilian permitted to have a police radio in his car, Weegee photographed crime scenes all over the city. This volume includes startling, dramatic photos of murderers, fallen gangsters, and accident victims as well as intimate, affectionate shots of New Yorkers out on the town.
