Yasumasa Yonehara: Tokyo Amour

With a strong countercultural appeal, Yasumasa Yonehara's photographs have recently appeared as part of American Apparel advertising campaigns, in magazines such as WARP and the photo book ‘Sneaker Lover.' In the project presented here, the photographer plays with Japanese tradition, individualism, consumer culture, sexual desire and beauty by capturing and producing images of young Japanese women through multiple repetitions of the same seductive pose.
