Mike Steel does not appear in any of the photographs of this book, but he is present in all of them. These are black and white photos that depict the photographer’s sense of humor, ironic point of view, and desires... pictures that show him as he really is- like the Mingus song ‘Myself When I am Real’. A wonderful prologue is written by the Spanish photographer Luis Baylón.
