Ten years of the photographic festival PHotoEspaña provided a good reason to survey both the history of the Festival and the development of contemporary photography over that period through this thick dictionary. Two hundred names, featuring many well known and significant figures essential to an understanding of this key medium are presented beginning with Abbas and ending with Zhang Huan. Each photographer is presented accompanied by a short introduction, placed alongside works featured at the Festival.
