Daniela Tartaglia's world is a brambled, close-up inspection of ordinary things, like twigs and stones, collaged and overlapped into almost stage-like tableaus. Sometimes her work is reminiscent of Fredrick Sommer, sometimes Joseph Cornell, but throughout there is a compelling, disorienting sense that is uniquely Tartaglia.
