The fruit of years of diligence and research, Architecture Immortalized is based on the holdings of the Netherlands Department for Conservation whose vast permanent collection contains some half million photographs spanning over 125 years of history. Though the essays are closely related to monument photography and the development of this particular collection of photographs, the images themselves are a treasure trove to anyone excited about the history of photography and architecture.
