Dutch photographer Rafaël Philippen’s evocative “landscapes” show the places where nature and culture meet and overlap, places on the street, in parks or at indefinable urban locations. This full-color exhibition catalogue from the Nederlands Fotomuseum in Rotterdam also includes Philippen’s remarkable portraits of women, which re-define the classic “appropriation” of the woman by the macho male photographer.
